Simple Sundays with Jess: December 1

Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you’re savoring the weekend as much as I am. This week’s been all about cozy vibes, creativity, and finding inspiration in the little things.

What I’m Reading

This week, I dove into Rom-Commers, a fun and witty rom-com that completely swept me off my feet. If you’re a fan of laugh-out-loud moments and swoon-worthy romance, I highly recommend it!

My Goodreads list is full of similar reads—feel free to browse it here.

What I’m Eating

Bread-making is my little Sunday ritual. There’s something so soothing about the process, and this week I made a loaf using a recipe similar to this no-knead bread.

It’s simple, delicious, and makes the house smell amazing—what more could you want?

What I’m Doing

Yesterday, we stopped by the Makers of Maryland Small Business Saturday pop-up market in White Marsh. Let me tell you, the talent and creativity on display were nothing short of inspiring! From handcrafted gifts to local eats, it was the perfect way to support small businesses and get into the holiday spirit.

What’s Inspiring Me

I’ve been reflecting a lot on our manifesto, which I actually wrote as part of an exercise in Molly Balint’s Soft Business School class. It’s amazing how much clarity it gave me about the heart and soul of Island View. You can read the manifesto here—it perfectly captures the essence of what I love about this business.

How was your weekend? Let me know what’s bringing you joy this week—I’d love to hear from you!

Until next time,

xo-Jess
